As the rainy season comes to an end and cool northern winds return, IVAO Thailand invites all pilots to join Autumn Skies Thailand — an IFR event connecting Don Mueang (VTBD) and Chiang Rai (VTCT).

Pilots may fly in both directions, either VTBD → VTCT or VTCT → VTBD, connecting the busy capital with Thailand’s peaceful northern skies.
This event brings a perfect balance of challenge and beauty — from the crowded Bangkok departure to the calm arrival surrounded by northern mountains.

Enjoy full ATC coverage and active IFR traffic throughout the route.
File your flight plan, start your engines, and experience the gentle breeze of Thailand’s autumn skies together.​

>> All pilots are kindly requested to :

>> Make sure that the AIRAC cycle is up to date.
>> Be prepared – have access to charts and read the pilot briefing HERE
>> FS9/FSX/P3D users are required to install VTBDscenery.
Otherwise, your ground layout will be different from real life. You can download HERE.
>> Note the SID & STAR speed/altitude restrictions.
>> Be ready – you may be asked to enter the hold, fly heading, and reduce speed.
>> Remember – Aviate, Navigate, Communicate.
>> Maintain radio etiquette.
>> Prepare at least 60-90 minutes of extra fuel due to excessive traffic.

All pilots who participated in this event shall report to the PILOT EVENTS [TH]  
They will receive 1 point for the Pilot Events Award.
